January 24, 2024
Commissioner Burger thanked the residents for participating in the
event.
Chairman Nancy Herzel and Commissioners selected April 20,
2024 for the Arbor Day event to be held at Redbud Park from
11:00am to 1:00pm. There will be booths with information
regarding rain barrels, approved trees in Nichols Hills, and Master
Gardeners to answer gardening questions. There will be a food
truck, face painting, and activities for children. They will have
information on the history of the Redbud tree becoming the state
tree, and the planting of a new redbud tree. Commissioner Patton
will create a flyer with the Arbor Day event information to be
distributed.

Commissioner Burger asked City staff to put a reminder on the local
tv channel for residents to turn off their sprinkler systems when the
temperature is below freezing.
