Notice is hereby given as required by Title 5, Chapter 551.041 of the Government Code
that the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention District will meet for a Budget Hearing
and a Regular Meeting May 26, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Argyle Town Hall, 308
Denton Street, Argyle, Texas. The Items listed below are placed on the agenda for
discussion and/or action.
A. CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER
1. Determine if a Quorum Present

C. OPEN FORUM
The opportunity for citizens to address the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention
District on any non-agenda item (limit 5 minutes per person); however, the Texas
Open Meetings Act prohibits the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention District
from discussing issues which the public has not been given seventy-two (72) hour
notice. Issues raised may be referred to Town Staff for research and possible
future action.

May 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Argyle Town Hall, 308 Denton Street, Argyle, Texas.
The Items listed below are placed on the agenda for discussion and/or action.
A. CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER
1. Determine if a Quorum Present
Called to order at 6:36pm and a quorum was present. In attendance were Carla Wojtal,
Martin Brading, Calvin Bond, Sean Ford, Robert Hart, Chief Emmitt Jackson and Lourdes
Rodriguez.
B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

C. OPEN FORUM
The opportunity for citizens to address the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention

Open forum opened at 6:37a. No citizens were present who wished to address the board and
open forum was closed at 6:37p.
D. MINUTES & FINANCIALS
1, Minutes
a. Review and Accept the Argyle Crime Control & Prevention District — April
13, 2026 minutes Attachment A
No members of the board had questions or comments on the minutes. Motion to accept the
April 13, 2026 minutes as presented made by Calvin Bond and seconded by Martin Brading.
Motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
2. Financials
a. Discussion and Consideration of the CCPD financial report Attachment B.

Board members reviewed the current financial report and discussed the current sales tax
contributions to the fund balance. Future development and corresponding increases to the
CCPD fund were discussed.
E. DISCUSSION OF FY27 OPERATING BUDGET
1. Initial discussion of FY27 operating budget Att. C- Draft Budget
a. Review of Argyle PD needs for FY27
b. Review FY26 to date spending
Board members reviewed the current proposed budget, and Chief Jackson went over each line
item. There were no objections or questions concerning the proposed expenditures.
F. BANQUET PLANNING
1. Discuss planning progress for the Police Appreciation Banquet scheduled for May 16,
2026
a. Discuss guest list and attendees
b. Discuss current expenditures and outstanding items
Carla Wojtal encouraged board members to submit their RSVP’s for the banquet. Lourdes Diaz
reported that all items related to the banquet are accounted for and on schedule.
G. DISCUSSION ITEMS
1. Update on police facility and municipal complex project.
Chief Jackson gave a presentation on current Town and adjacent area population and
employment figures as well as projections for future growth. Necessary next steps by Town
Council were also discussed.
H. OLD BUSINESS - N/A
|. NEW BUSINESS
1. Funding Requests
a. In account 6223 (Computer/Equipment) a total of $10,000 is allocated for
the PD Funding Request line item. We are requesting the allocation of
$4,250 of these funds for the purchase of:
1. Installation of one additional Flock License Plate Reader (LPR)
camera on southbound Hwy 377 at Wildflower Place. This
location represents that only remaining ingress point for our Town
that is not covered by LPR monitoring. Attachment D.
Chief Jackson provided the board with an overview of Flock LPR cameras and how they are
utilized to assist in investigations and identifying vehicles associated with criminal activities.
Chief Jackson also discussed the current deployment strategy and locations of cameras in
Argyle. Motion was made by Martin Brading to approve the purchase of one additional Flock
License Plate Reader. The motion was seconded by Calvin Bond. Motion passed unanimously
5-0.

July 20, 2026
Chief Jackson informed the board that it would be necessary to have another meeting in May to
hold a public hearing on the budget and approve the budget for submission to Town Council.
Board members chose the date of May 26, 2026 for the next meeting.
