Consider Change Order No. 1 from El Grande Industries for extension of

Grande Industries for the 2024 Roadway Paving Contract extending the
substantial completion date to April 30, 2025 and the final completion date
to May 31, 2025.
This extension is necessary due to ongoing sidewalk and roadway curbing
work on the streets included in the 2024 Roadway Paving program. Since El
Grande cannot mobilize and begin the paving work until the
sidewalk/curbing work is complete, rather than risk incomplete work before
winter weather sets in, this change will allow adequate time for proper
completion of the project in the early spring of 2025. It should be noted that
El Grande has agreed to hold the contract rates.

12.c.

Consider request from owner of 322 Marylea Avenue to waive the roadway
restoration expenses associated with sewer lateral repair (ACTION ITEM)
Mr. President, the property at 322 Marylea Avenue has been vacant for over
nine years due to a lack of sewer service. In 2019, the Borough reached an
agreement with a prospective buyer whereby, in order to prevent the need to
connect to a nearby sewer that is prohibitively deep, a new tap would instead
be established on the opposite side of the street, and the municipality would
assume the costs for repairing the disturbed section of roadway. This
transaction did not transpire, and the individual who subsequently
purchased this property via sheriff sale is now seeking similar relief due to
the substantial cost of reestablishing service. Consequently, I move to
approve the request from Mr. Leslie Brown of ATL Realty, which would
waive the fees associated with the repaving of the public street following the
installation of a new sewer line to serve 322 Marylea Avenue, and which
would reduce the sewer tap fee from $2,000 to the actual cost of installation
and inspection.
