1) Roll Call
2) Approval of the Agenda with any additions, deletions or changes (motion to approve)
3) Approval of the August 11th regular monthly meeting minutes, and August 25th budget workshop minutes
4) Public Comments (comments limited to 3 minutes) Notice: Speakers will be allowed to speak on items listed within
this agenda following recognition by the Council President. Comments will be limited to 3 minutes each, so all who
wish to speak will be provided an opportunity
5) Mayor Frank Davis – Matters of the City
A. Recommendation of Councilmember Vanessa Brown Robinson for appointment to the North Florida Regional
Planning Council
B. Announce schedule for Florida City Week October 19-23
6) City Council
A. Discussion with possible Council action, first reading Ordinance 1570, an ordinance relating to recreational
fires; creating Chapter 22, Article I, Section 22-3 of the Code of Ordinances; providing for purpose and scope;
providing definitions; authorizing recreational fires subject to conditions consistent with the Florida Fire
Prevention Code and Chapters 5I-2 and 62-256, Florida Administrative Code; providing for suspension during
burn bans, declared emergencies, and adverse weather or air quality conditions; providing for nuisance
abatement and enforcement authority (Campbell)
B. Discussion with possible Council action, FLOCK cameras (Collins)
C. Discussion regarding Splash Pad-John Hale Park (Owens)
7) City Manager, Larry Sessions
A. Discuss the North Florida Regional Emergency Shelter project and the City of Live Oak utility option (Jason
Furry, Suwannee County Administrator)
B. Discussion with possible Council action, amendment of Agreement 81-01 between the Board of County
Commissioners of Suwannee County, Florida and the City of Live Oak, Florida, and restatement of agreement
Pursuant to 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect
to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing the person will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice
does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize
challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to
