CITIZEN COMMENT PERIOD
At this point in the meeting, the Town Council will hear comments and concerns from the citizens. If the issue raised is not
on today’s agenda, action will not be taken by the Council at this meeting. Questions may be answered by staff or referred
for appropriate staff action. If further action is necessary, the item may be placed on a future board agenda. Zoning and code
enforcement matters cannot be discussed during the public comment period. Procurement matters not scheduled to be heard
by the Council today also cannot be discussed during the public comment period. Public comment may be limited to 3
minutes.

1. (Town Clerk) Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Gavkee Construction’s Request to
Amend the Previously Approved Volunteer Landing Subdivision from Seven Residential Lots to
Two Five-Acre Residential Lots
2. Hillarie Burgess, Keep Lake Beautiful Facilitator.
Keep Lake Beautiful is a volunteer-based program focused on litter abatement, beautification, and
recycling education throughout Lake County. Ms. Burgess will have a short slide presentation.
3. (Town Clerk) Discussion and Action Civics Plus Utility Billing
After an extensive review of Billing Software, it is suggested that we enter into a 3-year
contract with Civics Plus .
4. (Z.Teeters) Discussion and action of The Gatherings Annual Fee waiver
Each year the town needs to review an organization's function and status for the fee waiver,

TO DEFINE “ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT”; AMENDING THE REGULATIONS
APPLICABLE TO THE R-1 SINGLE-FAMILY LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
AND THE R-2 MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO ALLOW ONE
ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT ON CERTAIN LOTS WITH AN EXISTING SINGLEFAMILY DWELLING; ESTABLISHING DEVELOPMENT, DESIGN, PARKING,

7. (Town Clerk) Discussion on the Permit, Zoning and Planning procedures.
The Code Enforcement positions, Zoning clearance and permit coordination will be discussed.
8. (Z. Teeters)Discussion and Action to approve the Police Chiefs request to attend the IACP
conference in Orlando, Florida. October 24-27 2026, Cost for the Full Conference is $500.00 in
advance (if paid on or before September 9 or $600.00 if paid after Sept 10).

9. (Z. Teeters) Discussion and action on Retroactively approving $7,500 for emergency surgery
for a retired police K9.
The K9 prior to Louie needs life saving surgery. The Board was polled before payment was made.
