NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DETROIT, TEXAS WILL HOLD A
REGULAR MEETING AT THE ABOVE-NAMED DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION
All agenda items are subject to action.
1. CALL TO ORDER.
2. Public Comment: Members of the public may speak on an agenda item during the public comment section of the meeting or
at the time the agenda item is called for discussion by the presiding officer. Speakers are given three (3) minutes to address
the council once they are announced by the presiding officer. Members of the public wishing to address the Council on nonagenda items may do so pursuant to the same time constraints as agenda items. Consistent with the Texas Open Meetings
Act, the Council members cannot discuss non-agenda items. Speaking times are specific to each speaker and cannot be
accumulated, saved or transferred to another speaker.
All speakers are expected to maintain a proper decorum when presenting and while in Council chambers. Threats, personal
insults, vulgar or profane language is out of order and may result in removal from the meeting. All requests for comment
must be in writing and turned into the City Secretary or Presiding Officer at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the
meeting.
3. New Business – Discuss and Take Action on:
a. Propose lowering property tax rate to $.442114 per $100 of value to stay below the No New Revenue rate
b. Flock Camera located on Hwy 82 West across from Hwy 82 lift station/City Park

Old Business – Discuss and Take Action on:
a. Streets/alleys – Discuss any street or alleyway improvements needed
b. Discuss/Review flooding mitigation planning
5.
Review/ Approve Bills
6. Review / Approve Minutes of SEPTEMBER regular meeting
7. Adjourn.

(Deliberations regarding Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations regarding Gifts or Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076
(Deliberations regarding Security Devices or Security Audits) and 551.087 (Economic Development); Texas Tax Code Section
321.3022 (Sales Tax Information) and Texas Government Code Section 418.183(f) (Emergency Management).The City Hall is
wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. Requests for special accommodations or interpretive services must
