The regular meeting of the Council of the City of Inkster, Wayne County, was held on September 21,
2026 in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
Prior to the Regular Council Meeting: City Council members discussed: The Agenda.

to go into Closed session 6:04pm to discuss pending litigation.

Dylan Wegela-Legislative Update-Women at Huron Valley audio and video recording,
change the policy. DTE, BC/BS from donating money, floor cameras-Ban or Regulate
location, date, tracked on phones.
Lucinda Davis- Ordinance in the neighborhood-Thank you ordinance problem on her
block, neighbors few people just don’t care. Police Chief, Ordinance; Williams St.
between Andover and Pine.
Rashida Tlaib-Flock Contract & Civil Rights-10 yr contact entered for Flock times of
crime is increasing, this is not the only community being affected. FOIA passed
deadline for contract, families deserve transparency.
Nathan Newsome-Grass picked up not being picked up in 3 weeks
Gabe Henderson-Inkster Beautification-Dumpster locations: Wheatley Park on Penn
Street, LeMoyne Park on Pine St., Rec Complex on Middlebelt and Westwood Park on
Stollman
Charles Blackwell- “Good Evening, Law and Order: SVU should come to Inkster and
film an episode about Mayor Byron Nolen since he’s allegedly been sexually harassing
Annapolis Pointe builder ShaWanna Gajewski. Also, Councilwoman Felicia Monique
Rutledge Thomas Cheeseborough is crooked and corrupt for allegedly pressuring
people to help Mayor Nolen.”

Council member Richardson- Received a letter from Retiree John Knight regarding
his Life Insurance Policy for retirees, says the issue with the Life Insurance Policy
has not been resolved
Mayor Pro-Tem Chisholm commented on the no cost phone great tool when it comes
to accommodations, if you receive emails from people posing as city officials be sure
to confirm the domain, city emails end with @cityofinkstermi.gov
Mayor Nolen-Flock cameras talk of modifying language we did refer the contract to
our city attorney, modified the language to make sure the residents are protected,
our information will not be shared as much as we could in the contract. Did do this
before we signed the contract, money out of politics will be a ballot initiative that
will be on the November ballot this year.
