A regular meeting of the Bad Axe City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on Monday,
October 5, 2026, by Mayor Particka.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Rochefort second by Rapson to approve September 21, 2026, Regular Meeting
Minutes.
Voice vote: all voting aye.
PUBLIC COMMENTS

ORDER OF BUSINESS
1. Julienne Ferris.
2. Motion by Rochefort second by Robinson to approve Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours
for Saturday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Voice vote: all voting aye.

Recommendations from Finance Committee
Finance Minutes: September 21, 2026
1. Motion by Rapson second by Robinson for approval to purchase valves for the biosolids
tank at WWTP, from Kennedy Industries, in the amount of $10,100.00.

2. Motion by Rapson second by Particka to approve to accept and sign the formal

Mayor and Council Comments
1. Council Member Robinson asked how much more it would cost the city if the cannabis
ordinance were voted through in November.
2. BAPD Police Chief Webber stated that there should not be a significant increase in crime
or costs if the cannabis ordinance were voted through in November. He also stated that he
would like everyone to know that there are no flock cameras in the City of Bad Axe.
3. Mayor Particka stated that the Housing Seminar provided a lot of useful, good
information. She also said that the Art Initiative Seminar was very interesting.
