POLICE DEPARTMENT
Pocatello Police Department staff members will be present to discuss and
receive Council feedback regarding the Pocatello Police Department’s
Flock camera policies, procedures and usage, as requested during the
August 13, 2026 City Council Work Session. (ACTION ITEM)

3. HOUSING ALLIANCE AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS
UPDATE
Representatives from the Housing Alliance and Community Partners
(HACP) will discuss their goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies
and expectations.
4. PORTNEUF VALLEY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
UPDATE
Representatives of Portneuf Valley Development Corporation (PVDC) will
be present to give Council an update of PVDC’s activities and
achievements.
5. CITY CODE REVISIONS – CARNIVALS AND CIRCUSES,
TEMPORARY USE PERMITS
Pocatello Police Department staff and Building Department staff members
will be in attendance to discuss the following recommended code updates:
1) Temporary Use Permits and 2) Carnival and Circus permitting and
transition oversight from the Police Department to the Building
Department. (ACTION ITEM)
6. PROPOSED ORDINANCE PROHIBING THE SALE OF
KRATOM IN THE CITY OF POCATELLO – POLICE
DEPARTMENT
Pocatello Police Department staff members will be in attendance to
discuss a proposed ordinance prohibiting the sale of Kratom within city
limits. (ACTION ITEM)

7. PROPOSED CHANGES TO CITY CODE REGARDING DOG
AND CAT LICENSING – ANIMAL SERVICES
Animal Services staff members will be in attendance to discuss proposed
ordinance changes to dog and cat licensing. (ACTION ITEM)

10. CITY HALL FEASIBLITY STUDY UPDATE AND DESIGN
RECOMMENDATION – VCBO ARCHITECTS
Representatives from VCBO Architects will be in attendance to present the
findings and receive feedback from the Council regarding the feasibility
study conducted in connection with moving City Hall to the historic Federal
Building, 150 South Arthur Avenue. (ACTION ITEM)
