Before we begin, we would like to acknowledge the Chumash people, who are
the traditional custodians of this land. We pay our respects to the Chumash
elders, past, present, and future, who call this place, Anisq’oyo, the land that Isla
Vista sits upon, their home. We are proud to continue their tradition of coming
together and growing as a community. We thank the Chumash community for
their stewardship and support, and we look forward to strengthening our ties as
we continue our relationship of mutual respect and understanding.

4.1.
Isla Vista Harm Reduction Project Proposal
The Board will receive a report from staff on a potential project to provide new
security services on Friday and Saturday nights and give direction to staff.
4.2.
IV Safe Agenda Preview for October Meeting
The Board will review the IV Safe agenda for the October meeting and give
direction to staff.
4.3.
Parking Occupancy Data Collection Proposal
The Board will consider approval of an agreement with Dixon Resources
Unlimited for License Plate Recognition (LPR) and drone data collection and
analysis to evaluate the impact of the Parking Compliance Program and inform
the potential implementation of a parking permit program.
4.4.
Isla Vista Cityhood Preliminary Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis Update
The Board will receive an update on the Isla Vista Cityhood Preliminary
Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis and give direction to staff.
