Flock's rollout is hitting a wall of public scrutiny from coast to coast today, with cities split between defending the tech, ripping it out, or scrambling to write rules before it's too late. The common thread: officials are finally being asked who's watching, and why.

- Who is tracking you? Columbus must control Flock or end it | Our view The Columbus Dispatch
Columbus editorial board is right: unregulated Flock access is a liability. Control it with hard rules or don't run it at all.
- Tim Burchett wants to limit video surveillance as KCSO readies cameras Knoxville News Sentinel

- Are Flock cameras in South Carolina? What the AI-powered cameras are Greenville Online
Most residents still don't know these cameras exist in their state — that information gap is the real story, not the tech itself.
Want the full stream? The wire runs all day — and the camera map shows what’s already watching your town.
Independent, ad-free, reader-funded
No ads, no paywalls, no selling your data. The costs are server bills, the data services behind the map, the Docket and the archives, and the computing power behind the tools being built on top of them. Every dollar readers chip in goes to exactly that.
