PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ROLL CALL:
Council Members Present:
Dave Maccarone
Bob Bartko
Judy Lewis
Chris Fenn
Rich Lyon
Sasha Chetyrkina-Miller
Other Officials Present:
Scott Varney, Fiscal Officer
Seth Marcum, Solicitor Representative
ADOPTION OF AGENDA:
Motion to adopt the Agenda was made by D. Maccarone and seconded by R. Lyon.
Motion passed by Roll Call 6-0.
OPEN FORUM 1:
Richard Herbig wanted to wish America a 250" Happy Birthday and thanked our military, past
and present, the Police and Fire Dept., and all medical personnel. He asked why, in the recent
newsletter, there was nothing about the income tax increase on how long it is going to last.
Mayor Antal stated that because there is no expiration at this point, and it can be ended at any
time, he didn’t want to make it more confusing. Mr. Herbig also asked why there was no mention
of the possibility of the 5,000 square foot barn going up. Mayor Antal replied that it is
something the Village can do, but it must pass the levy first. If the levy does not pass, it won’t be
built. The Mayor also stated he didn’t want to go on and on about things that “may” happen.

OLD BUSINESS:
S. Chetyrkina-Miller asked if there was any update on the recording materials. The Mayor
said he has a client who works with AV and is waiting to hear back whether there is a lower-cost
option. Mayor Antal thinks they will purchase the lower of the current options if nothing in the
same price range is available.
NEW BUSINESS:
Dave Maccarone wanted to let everyone know that the surrounding communities have a
directional boring policy, and maybe the Village might use the format and adopt a similar policy.
Jason Popiel, the Village solicitor, may be able to assist with this. Mr. Maccarone also wanted to
address an Ohio Law called Megan’s Way Out that is currently waiting to be passed. He feels
maybe the Village can adopt it and not wait on the State. This would be only for new businesses
or those remodeling their drive-thru.
Sasha Chetyrkina-Miller would like to have the Village Police and Fire provide Council
with a monthly summary report. The summary could consist of incidents and arrests, as well as
Flock camera usage, to provide more transparency and also help with growing budget concerns.
SECOND OPEN FORUM:
Richard Herbig stated he rides his bike on Brandywine Rd. and asked if the Village could put up
speed cameras and issue tickets to speeders and also people who do not follow the 3 ft. distance.
Mr. Herbig has a speed gun, and he knows speeding is going on all the time. He addressed the
Mayor, saying he (the Mayor) is in charge of the Village and this is a safety issue. Mayor Antal
said he will discuss long-term and short-term options with the Chief of Police, Chad McCardle.
