student from GCC, has requested to do a Fall internship
between probation and public defender’s office, working 1
day per week for a total of 125 hours. During this experience
she would observe probation officers performing supervision
duties, as well as the social work staff from the Public
Defender’s office, including preparation of jail release plans.
I would like to encourage internships, as interest in this field
has waned.
