Mark Ellis of 4080 Clark St. in Quinnesec. Does MDOT take care of the MI side of the bridge going to
Niagara? On the East side there is a walkway. The weeds are higher than the railing all they through it. I
mean sometimes you get weeds alongside the railing, but this is through and in the middle; everything. It
just looks terrible, that’s all.

Lieburn: We had an amazing softball tournament a couple weeks ago in both Kingsford and Quinnesec.
Two Kingsford 10U teams played under the lights and it was probably one of the most amazing nights
ever. It was cool to see people all the way around the field watching under the lights. It was like a small
town. It was really neat. There were a lot of people there that were not invested in the players and just
there watching, it was that special. It was gorgeous. There were 27 teams and of the 27 I would say
maybe 8 were local otherwise the rest traveled. Those tournaments are becoming a really cool thing and
bring a lot of people to the area
Johnson: To add to Heather, it was a delayed game because of the weather. It was a huge tournament. I
don’t know how many people it brought in, but the Kingsford Park was full all day Saturday and most of
the day Sunday. There were back-to-back games with about 15 minutes between games, so having this
available to them was really neat to see because otherwise it would have set them all back at least another
hour.
Olson: Savannah is going to have a birthday on the 19th, so I want to wish her a happy birthday. I have
been talking with our attorney Bill Fahey; the founder of that firm. When we did this when we first met
him he was working with another firm then they branched out on their own. We want to go over some of
our stuff with our 425 agreements. We want to refresh everyone’s memory on that. Most of the people
here at the township were not here when we came up with these (2) 425 agreements with the City of Iron
Mountain. Bill will be coming up over the weekend. He said that he will be here next Monday night if we

have a Special Board Meeting. He will take us right down the whole system, the whole process of what
these agreements are all about. I think that is very important for Breitung Township and us as Board
Member to know what the agreements that we have in place. One of those 425’s was for 12-year deal; we
are done with that. The second one is a 50-year agreement with a 50-year renewal. Breitung Township
and Iron Mountain we came to agreement with these things. Bill is going to be here to explain them. There
will be a Special Meeting on Monday August 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The Road Commission wants our roads
for 2027. The roads that I was wondering about, I found out that they will be doing those roads in 2028.
Roads that are connecting with Iron Mountain do not have any bearing on the 2027 roads. We are looking
at what we are going to come up with the roads and getting that to the Road Commission.
Payment of Bills: Motion by Trustee Reuter, seconded by trustee Johnson to approve the bill list in the
amount of $159,746.56.
Vote: Unanimous, motion carried.
Public Comment: Start Time: 7:38 End Time: 7:38 Mike Bronzyk of Quinnesec. I am speaking for Carol
Bronzyk the County Clerk. She wanted to be here, but she has her own meeting. She wanted the board to
know how well the elections went. Savannah, Hannah, and group did an extremely good job. She wanted
that to be stated to you guys, and anyone else involved with the elections.
Start Time: 7:39 End Time: 7:39 Mark Ellis of Quinnesec. I’m back. Denny brought up the roads and road
commission. I just want to say how happy I am that MDOT is possibly going to be putting a round about
by the old fire alarm. They spend a lot of money down there on this intersection trying to make it safe.
Whatever they do it is never safe. A round about, as far as I am concerned, it the way to go. I am happy
about it.
Adjournment: Motion by Trustee Johsnon, seconded by Treasurer Lieburn to adjourn the meeting.
Vote: Unanimous, motion carried.
The meeting was declared adjourned by Supervisor Olson at 7:42 p.m.
