Disco Lives 2026 - Locking - Top 12 - Deflock, Chak, Mr Scribble Foot.
The short version: A dance battle video titled with "Deflock" turns out to be about street dance, not Flock Safety surveillance.
Our Take
Every so often the algorithm sends us something that shares a name with our beat but nothing else. "Disco Lives 2026 - Locking - Top 12" from the Disco Lives channel is a dance competition video — "locking" is a street dance style, and "Deflock" here appears to be a competitor's name, not a reference to automated license plate readers or Flock Safety cameras.
We're flagging it anyway because it's a good reminder of how language gets reused across entirely different communities. Our "DeFlock" is about mapping and resisting ALPR surveillance networks — not about dance crews, no matter how good their footwork is. Credit to the Disco Lives channel for documenting the dance scene, but it's not our lane.
If you landed here looking for the actual fight against license plate surveillance, you're in the right place. Check out our camera map to see what's been documented near you, and visit take action if you want to push back on Flock contracts in your city.
