[YTP] Joshua Thomas tells the truth about Flock Safety

Our Take

Credit where it's due: Vamp's YTP (YouTube Poop) edit of Joshua Thomas isn't journalism, it's comedy — looping, pitch-shifting, and remixing Flock Safety's favorite company man into something unintentionally revealing. We're not treating this as a source of facts, just noting it exists and why it's getting traction.

Here's the thing about parody like this: it works because the source material is already hollow. Flock's messaging leans hard on words like "community safety" and "missing persons" while glossing over the part where every plate on every car gets logged, time-stamped, and stored regardless of suspicion. When a comedy editor can turn your talking points into a punchline just by repeating them back, that's a messaging problem, not a meme problem.

If the real version of this conversation interests you more than the remix, skip the spin and look at what's actually deployed in your area. Check our camera map to see Flock's footprint near you, and if you want to push back on a system that watches everyone to maybe catch someone, our take-action page has the tools to start.
