ANPR Camera Kaha Useful Hai Society, Parking, Warehouse Ke Liye Best Solution
The short version: A vendor reel from Mind Soft Technology sells ANPR cameras as a tidy fix for missed plates at gates, glossing over how fast 'local parking fix' becomes permanent vehicle tracking.
Our Take
Mind Soft Technology's pitch is the same one every ALPR vendor runs: your old CCTV missed a plate once, so here's a camera that reads, captures, and logs every vehicle automatically. It's a real product demo, and we're not disputing that plate-recognition cameras can solve a narrow, specific problem — a gate attendant who can't read a blurry plate at 2am. But the video frames this purely as a parking-lot convenience upgrade, with zero mention of what happens to the data once it's captured, how long it's retained, who can access it, or whether a residential society board has any business building a timestamped vehicle-movement log of every resident and visitor.
That's the pattern we track at DeFlock: ANPR tech marketed for 'security' at a single warehouse or gated community rarely stays contained. Once a camera can read every plate, it can also be networked, shared, or tied into a broader system — and most buyers never ask who else gets that feed. A tool sold as 'parking solution' can quietly become a permanent record of who comes and goes, with none of the oversight a public police ALPR deployment would at least nominally require.
If you're seeing these cameras pop up in your neighborhood, gated community, or local lot, check our camera map to see what's already been documented nearby, and visit take action for ways to push back on unchecked plate-tracking before it becomes the default.
