No mention of retention limits, audit trails, or who gets access to the data — because that's not what a sales reel is for. It's a demo, not a policy document, and it shows exactly how normalized this technology has become in the developer world: bolt-on plate recognition for any camera feed, sold to whoever will buy a license.

That's the real story here. Flock Safety gets most of the headlines, but the ALPR market is bigger than one company. Firms like Trueface are building the plumbing that lets any government agency, private security outfit, or HOA turn ordinary camera footage into a searchable vehicle-tracking system. The barrier to entry keeps dropping, and with it, so does public awareness of just how many eyes are on the road. If a country's driveway camera or a strip mall's parking-lot feed can be repurposed like this, the map of who's watching is a lot bigger than most people assume.
