3 Companies that are just as bad as Flock ‼️‼️ #flock #axon #privacy #tracking #securitycamera

The short version: Micah Does Tech reminds viewers that Flock isn't the only surveillance player in town — Axon and other companies deserve the same scrutiny.

Our Take

Credit where it's due: Micah Does Tech is right to zoom out. We spend a lot of time on Flock Safety because its ALPR network is the biggest and most visible piece of the automated surveillance puzzle, but it's far from the only company building the infrastructure of a tracked society. Axon's push into connected cameras, drones, and data platforms for police departments deserves the same level of public pushback — especially since these companies love to market themselves as "public safety tech" while quietly normalizing constant monitoring of ordinary people who've done nothing wrong.

The pattern is always the same: a company sells convenience and crime-fighting to city councils and sheriffs, the contracts get signed with little public debate, and suddenly every car, every face, every movement is logged somewhere in a database you'll never get to see or challenge. Whether the logo on the camera says Flock, Axon, or something else entirely, the civil liberties math doesn't change. More vendors competing for the same surveillance dollars just means more cameras, more data brokers, and more opportunities for abuse, breaches, and mission creep.
