License Plate Recognition on Moving Vehicles
The short version: A vendor demo from Logic Smart Solutions shows off plate-reading on moving vehicles, a reminder that ALPR capability is spreading well beyond Flock.
Our Take
This clip isn't a Flock product, but it's a useful reminder of where this whole industry is headed. Logic Smart Solutions is showing off the same core trick every ALPR vendor sells: cameras that can snatch a plate number off a car doing highway speed, no human in the loop, no warrant, no notice to the driver. The demo is polished and casual, which is exactly the point — this stuff has been normalized into a routine product feature.
What matters here isn't the specific company, it's the trend line. Every time a vendor proves moving-plate capture works reliably, it lowers the bar for the next city council, HOA, or private security firm to buy in. These systems don't ask whether you're a suspect before logging your travel pattern; they just log everyone, all the time, and sort it out later if they ever bother to sort it out at all. That's the mass-surveillance math that should worry people, regardless of whose logo is on the camera housing.
Credit to Logic Smart Solutions for the transparent demo — most vendors aren't nearly this open about how the tech functions. If you want to see how many of these cameras, Flock or otherwise, are already running in your area, check our camera map, and if you want to push back on deployments near you, our take-action guide has concrete next steps.
