31 Cameras Why?????? #kids #security #Cameras #Flock #Safety #Carwash #crazykids #genie #rockart

Our Take

Mickey Royale's clip is short on narration but long on visual evidence — a simple tally of cameras clustered around what looks like a neighborhood car wash, Flock Safety gear included. The title says it all: 31 cameras, and a reasonable "why?????" That kind of gut reaction is exactly what we want more people to have when they actually look up instead of just driving through.

This is how ALPR networks spread in real life — not through public debate, but through quiet installs at gas stations, apartment complexes, and yes, car washes, until one day a regular person counts three dozen lenses pointed at ordinary traffic and realizes nobody asked them first. Multiply Mickey's one intersection by every city contracting with Flock, and you get a national grid that logs where millions of law-abiding drivers go, with no warrant and often no public vote.

Credit to Mickey Royale for pointing a phone at the obvious and making viewers do the math themselves. If you want to see how many of these cameras are stacked up near you, check our camera map, and if the number makes you as uneasy as it clearly made him, our take-action guide has concrete steps for pushing back at the local level.
