Not every warning about mass surveillance comes from a policy brief — sometimes it comes from a beat. NOX MERCER's "EVERY PLATE" is an AI-assisted music project (built with Suno for the audio, generative art for the visuals) that takes on Flock Safety's automated license plate readers, and it lands on the core problem we keep hammering on: a single camera catching your plate is a moment, but a *network* of them stitches those moments into a map of your life — your commute, your church, your side piece, your court date. That's the real product Flock is selling to police departments and HOAs, and it's rarely what residents are told they're signing up for.

We're not going to pretend this is investigative journalism — it's a mood piece, and the creator is upfront that it's generated content edited into a track. But the fact that ALPR anxiety is showing up in AI-made boom-bap says something about how far this issue has traveled outside the usual EFF/ACLU circles.
