antiflock song πŸ“Έ #flocksafety #deflock #glitchpop

The short version: A glitchpop artist turns ALPR fatigue into a catchy anti-Flock anthem, proving surveillance critique can hit just as hard through art as through policy briefs.

Our Take

Credit where it's due: PRINXE$$ KIWI took a topic that usually lives in city council minutes and FOIA requests and turned it into a glitchpop track. That's not nothing. Most people will never read a transparency report about automated license plate readers, but they might listen to a song that sticks in their head and makes them ask "wait, what's Flock Safety?" Culture does work that policy memos can't, and we're glad to see artists picking up the thread.

The anti-ALPR message matters regardless of genre. Flock's camera network has quietly become one of the largest private surveillance systems in the country, scanning plates block by block and building a searchable history of where everyone drives β€” with little public input and even less oversight in most towns. A three-minute song isn't going to get a city council to cancel its contract, but it can plant the idea that this stuff deserves scrutiny, and that's step one for a lot of people.

If this track has you wondering whether your own neighborhood is wired up, check our camera map to see what's nearby, and head to take action for concrete steps if you want to push back on a local deployment.
