Flock Cameras
The short version: A creator called TyC turns a camera on Flock's ALPR network, adding one more public voice to a growing chorus of scrutiny.
Our Take
We don't have much to go on here beyond a title and a channel name, but that's sort of the point: Flock cameras have become common enough that regular folks are now making videos about them with zero context needed. People know what they are, or they're curious enough to click and find out. That's a shift worth noting, because a few years ago most Americans had never heard the word "ALPR."
Credit to TyC for pointing a camera at the cameras, so to speak. Every video, post, or offhand mention that gets more people asking "wait, who's reading my license plate and why" chips away at the quiet rollout these systems have enjoyed in thousands of towns. Flock's pitch is always convenience and safety; the reality is a searchable log of where your car has been, shared across a growing web of agencies with little public oversight.
