The short version: A quick animated short from creator Veshka_sillygoob pokes fun at Flock cameras, showing how ALPR unease is seeping into casual, meme-driven corners of the internet.
Our Take
We don't know exactly what's packed into this short — the description is blank and the format is fast, animated, and built for scrolling — but the title and tags say enough: Flock cameras are now meme fodder on #fyp pages, not just a topic for policy wonks and privacy nerds. Credit to Veshka_sillygoob for putting a lighthearted spin on a subject that's usually discussed in dense city council minutes or vendor contracts nobody reads.
That's actually worth noting. Mass surveillance networks like Flock's spread fastest when nobody outside local government pays attention. When a meme account with a casual, funny tone starts making content about license plate readers, it means the public conversation is widening past the usual suspects. Humor and animation can do something white papers can't: get a 15-second hook in front of people who'd never click a 2,000-word explainer, and plant the idea that there's a camera on their street logging their movements.
If this short left you curious rather than fully informed, that's fine — that's step one. Check our map to see if Flock has already wired up your town, and if you want to do more than just know about it, our take-action guide walks through what pushing back actually looks like.
