Notice the framing in the coverage, though. Authorities are quick to talk about property damage and slow to engage with the actual question driving the anger: why is a private company building a searchable database of everyone's movements with little public input and even less oversight? Vandalism isn't a strategy we're endorsing, but it's a predictable outcome when communities feel like the normal channels for pushing back — city council meetings, public comment periods, records requests — get ignored while the cameras keep multiplying.
