Garrett Langley didn't build Flock Safety by accident — he built it by selling small-town police chiefs and HOAs on the idea that a camera on every corner is just modern convenience. The backlash Fox mentions in passing is the real story here: everyday Americans, not just activists, are waking up to the fact that a private company is quietly logging where their cars go, every day, and selling that data trail to law enforcement with almost no public oversight.

Notice what's missing from these friendly TV hits: hard answers on data retention, who exactly can query the system, how often it's wrong, and what happens when ICE, bounty hunters, or an abusive ex gets access through a backdoor agency. "Trust us, we're the good guys" isn't a policy, it's a marketing line — and it's the same one every surveillance vendor uses right before a scandal breaks.
