Board of Aldermen meetings are exactly where Flock's pitch — 'it's just cameras, it's just for solving crime' — runs into the messier reality: residents who don't want a permanent, searchable record of their comings and goings sitting on a private company's servers, retrieved by police departments across the country without a warrant.
Milford is just the latest town to have this fight in public, and that's the point. Flock counts on communities not noticing until the poles are already up and the contract's already signed.
