Upgrade your access control projects with Chalong License Plate Recognition Systems.
The short version: A vendor demo from Keygon Alice pitches Chalong ALPR hardware to installers as a plug-in upgrade for gates and parking access control.
Our Take
This isn't a Flock Safety deployment or a police press release — it's a sales reel aimed at integrators who build gate and parking systems. That's exactly why it matters. Plate-reading cameras have quietly become commodity hardware, sold the same way you'd sell a door sensor or a keypad. Any HOA, strip mall, or apartment complex can now bolt on "automatic vehicle identification" without ever having a public conversation about data retention, who gets access to the logs, or whether that data ends up brokered to a third party down the line.
The Keygon Alice video doesn't get into any of that — it's a product pitch, not a policy discussion, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. But the ease with which ALPR tech is marketed for "access control projects" is a reminder that the surveillance creep isn't only coming from big networked players. It's also coming from the bottom up, one gate installer and one parking lot at a time, each node invisible until it isn't.
If you want to see how many of these cameras — corporate, municipal, and otherwise — are already watching the streets near you, check out our camera map, and if you're ready to push back on unchecked plate tracking in your own community, our take-action resources are a good place to start.
