There's no privacy policy in the pitch, no mention of how long plate images are stored or who else can query that database — just "automatic," "smart," and "complete."
That's the real story of ALPR expansion in the U.S. It isn't only police departments and Flock Safety contracts. It's strip malls, apartment complexes, and private garages installing the same core technology with zero oversight, often from overseas manufacturers whose data-handling practices are a black box. Every one of these systems adds another node to a de facto nationwide tracking network, even when the installer's only goal is stopping a stranger from parking in spot 14.
