Thirty seconds to see every license plate camera on your street.

The short version: Flock Clocker shows how fast anyone can find the ALPR cameras watching their block, proving transparency tools are within reach.

Our Take

Credit where it's due: Flock Clocker's thirty-second walkthrough makes a point we hammer on constantly — you probably have no idea how many license plate cameras are clocking your daily commute, and finding out shouldn't require a FOIA request or a law degree. If a quick screen-share can surface every ALPR on your street, that tells you how undercooked public notice around this stuff really is. These cameras get bolted to utility poles and stop signs with zero community vote, and most residents only learn they exist when they see one.

That's exactly the gap we built our camera map to close on a national scale. One creator showing one neighborhood is useful; a crowdsourced map showing thousands of locations across the country is how you turn individual curiosity into collective accountability. Mass ALPR networks only work as a surveillance dragnet if nobody's watching back.

So watch the video, then go check your own street — and if you find a camera that isn't logged yet, add it. Want to push further than just mapping? Our take-action page has steps for raising this with your city council before the next camera goes up without anyone asking.
