My Flock Cameras

Feffers Farm · 2 weeks ago

The short version: A small creator's casual look at Flock cameras in their area is a reminder that these systems are popping up everywhere, even where you'd least expect them.

Our Take

Credit to Feffers Farm for pointing a camera at the cameras. We don't have much to go on here beyond the title and a quick description, but that's almost the point: Flock Safety's ALPR network has become so widespread that even a modest, low-key channel can casually film "my Flock cameras" like they're just another part of the local scenery. That normalization is exactly what worries us.

Every one of these installations, whether it's covered by a major investigative report or a short clip from someone's own neighborhood, represents a node in a growing web that logs where you drive, when, and how often — all without a warrant. The more mundane this footage looks, the more it underscores how quietly these systems have embedded themselves into everyday American life, often with little public input.

If you want to see whether there's a Flock camera already watching your street, check our map, and if you'd rather not just watch this creep happen, our take-action page has concrete steps for pushing back at the local level.
