This video, from the channel Digital ID, Mass Surveillance and Digital Currency, draws a line between Flock Safety, its law-enforcement tech partner Axon, and the long shadow of Jeffrey Epstein's network. We can't verify the specific connections the creator makes, and we're not in the business of repeating unconfirmed claims. But the instinct behind the video — asking who really sits behind the companies wiring up our streets with cameras — is exactly the right instinct to have.

Flock's pitch to city councils is always the same: a few cameras, a tidy dashboard, help catching bad guys. What rarely gets mentioned is how those feeds connect into a national network, how little independent audit exists over who accesses that data and why, or how cozy the relationships are between surveillance vendors, police departments, and investors who've shown up in far murkier corners of tech and finance before. Videos like this one, however speculative, exist because the official record is so thin that citizens are left connecting dots themselves.

That information gap is the actual scandal. Nobody outside a small circle of vendors and police chiefs can say with confidence where their town's plate-read data ends up or who's buying access to it.
