THEY ARE WATCHING YOU! MASS SURVEILLANCE..License Plate Readers | FLOCK CAMERAS
The short version: A homestead-channel creator flags Flock Safety's license plate cameras as everyday mass surveillance, echoing concerns we track nationwide.
Our Take
Credit where it's due: TommyBites Homestead is putting Flock Safety's license plate readers in front of an audience that might not otherwise think about ALPRs at all. That matters, because this technology doesn't ask permission — it just quietly logs where you drive, when, and how often, then feeds that into databases police and private networks can query without a warrant in most states.
We'll be upfront that this channel also traffics in other, more out-there claims, and we're not vouching for that content. But on the narrow point of camera surveillance, the instinct is right: a patchwork of automated readers bolted to street signs and HOA entrances adds up to a tracking system most Americans never voted for and can't opt out of.
