Someone Really Said “Get the Flock Out of Here” 😂
The short version: A viral "Get the Flock Out of Here" moment captures growing public frustration with Flock Safety's ALPR network creeping into daily life.
Our Take
Derrick Evans' short clip is funny, but the laugh lands because the frustration is real. "Get the Flock out of here" isn't just a pun — it's shorthand for a growing number of Americans realizing that a private company's camera network is quietly logging their movements, block by block, without a warrant or a vote.
What makes these moments go viral isn't just comedic timing. It's recognition. People are starting to clock the little black-and-white boxes on poles near their homes, schools, and churches, and they're asking the right questions: who's watching, who's storing it, and why did nobody ask first. That kind of grassroots pushback, even delivered as a joke, is how policy fights actually start.
If this clip made you look twice at a pole on your street, don't stop there. Check our camera map to see what's already been documented near you, and head to take action for ways to push back at your next city council meeting.
