Under the provisions of Section 2-5 of the City Charter, I, Robert G. Logan, City Council
President, hereby call a Special Meeting of the Waltham City Council for Monday, August 3,
2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 610 Main Street, Waltham, MA. The
following matters and matters on the table in Council Committees may be considered. No other
matters shall be considered.

MICOL, LLC, 2 Executive Park Drive, Billerica, MA 01862, as Petitioner and Legal Owner
hereby petition the City Council of the City of Waltham to grant a Special Permit for Use pursuant
to sections 3.4 and 3.512 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Waltham and for an increase in
Floor Area Ratio (FAR) to 4.82 pursuant to sections 3.511 and 3.521 of the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Waltham and Variance granted in 2024-07.
The property is located at 220 Moody Street and is shown on Atlas Page 60, Block 28, Lot 17. The
property is situated in a Business C Zoning District.

and second year of a three-year collective bargaining agreement between the city and the
Teamsters (Laborers) union for the period July 1,2025 to June 30, 2028.

The Mayor respectfully requests acceptance of a donation to the Waltham Fire Department
from the Revvity Foundation in the amount of $1,000.

5.

The Mayor respectfully requests the acceptance of the draft for the Cardinal Cottage
affordable housing application package. The required Affordable Housing Restriction is
being drafted by the Law Department.

6.

The Mayor respectfully requests the confirmation of the appointment of Debra Catalanotti
of 47 Lura Lane, Waltham as a permanent member of the Waltham Council on Aging to fill
a vacancy.

7.

The Mayor respectfully requests the confirmation of the appointment of Diane Lane at 152
Clark Lane, Waltham as a member of the Board of Cemetery Commissioners.

8.

The Mayor respectfully requests acceptance of a Special Act regarding Health Insurance for
the Mayor.

9.

The Mayor respectfully requests your guidance about a naming request from Margaret
Cannon related to 617 Lexington St and former Superintendent John Daddona. The mayor
respectfully requests an answer from the Council.

10. The Mayor respectfully requests acceptance of two taking orders for the easements
necessary to finish the traffic project on Pelham Road.
11. The Mayor respectfully requests a funding transfer totaling $1,158,400 to fund the first year
and second year of a three-year amendment to the Non-Union Compensation Ordinance
covering the period July 1,2025 to June 30, 2028.
12. The Mayor respectfully requests adoption of the compensation ordinance to amend the
existing pay charts for non-union employees.
13. The Mayor respectfully requests a transfer in the amount of $11,809.14 to purchase survey
equipment for the in-house survey work that is performed by the Engineering Department
Staff.
14. The Mayor respectfully requests a transfer of funds in the amount of $32,000 for the design
services that were not included in the original scope of work for the Beaver Street railroad
crossing project.
15. The Mayor respectfully requests approval of a financing transaction in the total amount of
$3,717,000 for a water/sewer/street infrastructure project for Bolton, Caughey, Clinton,
Cutter, Day, Graymore and Mt. Pleasants Streets.
