On May 19, 2026, Twin Restaurants Oakbrook, LLC through bankruptcy court received
authority to sell to Summit Twin Restaurants Oakbrook, LLC. As a result of change in
ownership, the City will decrease by one the number of Class “A” liquor licenses held under
Twin Restaurants Oakbrook LLC.
Summit Twin Restaurants Oakbrook LLC has submitted an application for a Class “A” liquor
license. The Mayor, acting in his capacity as Liquor Commissioner, requested approval of a
Class “A” liquor license for Summit Twin Restaurants, LLC.
Attorney, Joseph DePalma explained that the application is essentially a reapplication for
the same liquor license due to the change in ownership.
Alderman Rada questioned the reason for the change. Attorney DePalma clarified that the
change is necessary because of the change in ownership of the restaurant.
Moved to New Business.
