Worthington City Schools Superintendent Trent Bowers announced September 1, 2026 that the district was ending its Flock contract early and removing devices. Cameras at four school sites were mainly funded by an Ohio School Safety Grant. Bowers said limited benefits were not worth the potential loss of public trust, the early cancel would not cost extra money, and the cameras never shared data outside the district.
