St. Charles County Police Chief Kurt Frisz announced August 20, 2026 that the department discontinued Flock after a civilian employee admitted personal, non-law-enforcement searches. STLPR reported 28 cameras were bagged (20 in county parks, 8 on streets) and that Flock will retrieve the hardware. The department still uses other license-plate readers and plans to replace the 28 Flock units. See FLK-2026-056.
