The City of Kingston will not renew its Flock Safety contract when the two-year 2024 deal expires in September 2026, the Mountain Press / Roane County News reported August 19. City Manager David Bolling said the two cameras were a trial and that the benefit did not justify the cost. Mayor Tim Neal said the decision is financial: about $6,000 a year, $12,300 for the two-year term.
