WBAY reported that Winnebago County's decision involved the sheriff's office and the police chiefs of Fox Crossing, Menasha, Neenah, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Winneconne. The cameras were deactivated after search data from Flock systems was disclosed to the public by law enforcement agencies in other states in response to open-records requests.
