Christiansburg Town Council voted 6–0 on August 25, 2026 to terminate its Flock contract and remove cameras. WSLS reported the motion followed public comment and a statement from Police Chief Chris Ramsey. The police department owns a small number of Flock cameras; private-business cameras in town may remain. Exact city camera count and removal timetable were not published.
