The Council Chamber is accessible to the physically disabled. Requests for additional accommodations for the disabled

Any document that is a public record and provided to a majority of the Committee regarding an open session item on the
agenda will be made available for public inspection at City Hall, in the City Clerk's office, during normal business hours.
In addition, such documents may be posted on the City's website.
Unless otherwise required by law to be accepted by the City at or prior to a Committee meeting or hearing, no documents
shall be accepted for Committee review unless they are first submitted to the City Clerk by the close of business one day
prior to said Committee meeting/hearing at which the Committee will consider the item to which the documents relate.
The meeting will be held in person. Public comment may be made in person or submitted in writing. Members of the
public who wish to provide written comments are encouraged to submit their comments to the City Clerk at
[email protected] by the close of business one day prior to the start of the meeting to ensure that the
comments will be available to the Committee. Please indicate the agenda item number to which the comment pertains.
Written comments that do not specify a particular agenda item will be marked for the general public comment portion of
the meeting. A copy of any written comment will be provided to the Committee at the meeting. Please note that written
comments received will not be read aloud during the meeting but will be included with the meeting minutes.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color,
or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under
any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

PRESENTATIONS AND INFORMATIONAL REPORTS

PUBLIC COMMENT - Provides an opportunity for members of the public to address the Committee on items
of interest to the public within the Committee's jurisdiction and which are not already on the agenda this
evening. It is the policy of the Committee not to answer questions impromptu. Speakers should limit their
comments to not more than THREE (3) minutes. For items which are on the agenda this evening, members of
the public will be provided an opportunity to address the Committee as each item is brought up for discussion.

Call to order by Chair: Chairman Palomar called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.
Members present: Rodnie Roberts, Vincent Lathem, Alan Roberts, Barbara Taylor, Brent Andersen and
Chair Vince Palomar.
Members absent: Linda Simmons.
APPROVE AGENDA: Member Roberts motioned, seconded by Member Latham, to approve the agenda as
presented. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote of those members present.
PRESENTATIONS AND INFORMATIONAL REPORTS: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Chris Peterson, resident, voiced pedestrian safety concerns.
REGULAR CALENDAR
Approve the minutes for the 2/10/2026 Public Safety Committee Meeting as prepared by City Clerk Abigail
Palsgaard.

Member Roberts motioned, seconded by Member Andersen, to approve the minutes for the 2/10/2026 Public
Safety Committee Meeting as prepared by City Clerk Abigail Palsgaard. The motion passed by a unanimous
voice vote of those members present.
Solar Lights
Sponsor: Public Works Department
Public Works Director Galvez reported to the group that he is looking to get solar streetlights for 10th
Avenue, north of Stroud. This will allow the city to add lights to pole we do not own, or do not have
electricity at. The Board discussed locations, brightness and the warranty.
Use of Funds Discussion
Sponsor: Chairman Palomar
The Committee discussed the success of the bike helmets and indoor drone project. Member Roberts
motioned, seconded by Member Andersen, to fund $2,000 for the solar streetlights, $317.90 for bike helmets
and $230.29 for the police department’s indoor drone project. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote
of those members present.
